Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for 451 vacancies in Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA). The online application process starts on 10 December 2025 and closes on 30 December 2025.

- IMA: Born not earlier than 02 Jan 2003 and not later than 01 Jan 2008.
- INA: Born not earlier than 02 Jan 2003 and not later than 01 Jan 2008.
- AFA: 20 to 24 Years (Born between 02 Jan 2003 and 01 Jan 2007).
- OTA: Born not earlier than 02 Jan 2002 and not later than 01 Jan 2008.

Important Instructions:
- Candidates must complete the One Time Registration (OTR) on the UPSC website before applying.
- Photo uploaded must be not older than 10 days from the start of the online application process.
- Ensure that the name and date of birth match exactly with the Matriculation certificate.
- Female candidates are eligible only for OTA (SSC Women Non-Technical Course).
- Final year students can also apply provided they submit proof of passing at the time of commencement of course.

- Visit the official website of UPSC: upsconline.nic.in.
- Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done.
- Login using Email/Mobile/OTR ID and OTP.
- Go to “Latest Notifications” and click on “Click Here for Part-I” for CDS I 2026.
- Fill in personal details, educational qualification, and address.
- Proceed to Part-II Registration: Pay Exam Fee, Select Exam Center, Upload Photo & Signature.
- Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
